Training Requirements for CEC Accreditation

As part of the CEC accreditation process, you’ll be required to meet the required units of competency to be eligible to apply. Below are the license requirements and units of competency you’ll need for each type of accreditation.

Solar Grid-connect accreditation

  • Grid-connect Design Only
  • Grid-connect Install Only
  • Grid-connect Design and Install

Solar Stand-alone Power System

  • SPS Design
  • SPS Install
  • SPS Design & Install

Battery Storage accreditation

  • Grid-connect Battery Storage Design Only
  • Grid-connect Battery Storage Install Only
  • Grid-connect Battery Storage Design and Install

Stand-alone Design

  • UEENEEK123A - Carry out basic repairs to renewable energy apparatus
  • UEENEEK125A - Solve basic problems in photovoltaic energy apparatus
  • UEENEEK128A - Solve problems in stand-alone renewable energy systems
  • UEENEEK139A - Design stand-alone renewable energy (RE) systems

Stand-alone Install

Required Electrical Knowledge:
