Let’s dive in!
Automatic Bill Reader (Early Alpha)
We need testers.
We’ve built an Automatic Bill Reader that lets your sales team upload an electricity bill PDF and have Pylon automatically extract the usage and feed-in data. No more manual entry!
It’s running in early alpha right now and we’d love a small group of installers to put it through its paces with real bills from real retailers.
Interested? Reach out and we’ll set you up with access.

Mobile Project Creation
You can now create projects from your phone.
Out doing a site visit? Standing on a customer’s roof? Stuck in traffic between jobs? You can now spin up a new project, add the address, and start a design — all without opening a laptop.
Please provide feedback! We’re keen to improve Pylon’s mobile user-friendliness.

Battery Recommender Upgrade
Following last month’s Battery Recommender launch, we’ve added:
- Battery State of Charge chart — visualise how the battery fills and drains across a typical day
- Days of Autonomy & Cycles Per Day — two new utilisation metrics for smarter battery sizing
- Configurable chart metrics — pick which metrics you want to see in the recommender chart
- Larger system support — We’ve raised the recommendation size up to 500kWh

Universal Interval Data Processor
Different distributors send interval data in wildly different formats. Our new Universal interval data processor reads almost* any format you throw at it: CSVs, Excel files, weird column orderings, mid-file headers. We will figure it out.
This means fewer errors, and faster proposals for projects with existing usage data.
*Malformed files will still break.
CRM Round-Robin Lead Allocation
Are new leads coming in too fast, or unevenly distributed across your sales team?
The new Round-Robin Lead Allocation automatically assigns incoming leads across your team in rotation. Set it up once in your CRM Automations and let it run.
Improvements

API Improvements
We’ve been quietly making the Pylon API more powerful for partners and integrators:
- Draft Project Creation — create draft projects programmatically, perfect for lead intake forms and partner integrations
- Design Title — now exposed on the API so you can read and reference design names from your own systems
- Acceptance Design UID — track which design a customer signed off on
- Payment Gateway Deposit Paid webhook — get notified the moment a customer pays a deposit
- Manually trigger webhooks — useful for testing your integrations during development
You can find our API docs here.
